GOOD BYE 2012, HELLO 2013
Another year has passed and another is upon us. I decided to make a final run out to the new house to see what if anything had been done since christmas. Lo and behold there were actually workers on site. They are making progress, all of the shingles are installed.... well they are installing the final few on the bay window, all doors and windows are in. Both huge bunks of lumber are completely gone. The PM say that he will be sending in the plumbers next, things are coming along nicely. Less than two months to go, I am so looking forward to closing and moving in. This is a thing that I never thought I would do and for a long time had no desire to do. But life has led me to this and I am so looking forward to it! I truly need something new, some stimulation, GLORIOUS CHANGE, I EMBRACE THEE!!!

Today's Visit!
Today was a long day, we drove all over NE Ohio after we went to see the progress of our home and our lovely SR Inna. (Love, love our Inna!)
Our PM called us yesterday (while he was on vaca) and told us that they were just about finished with the framing on the house. He said he was going to have the shingles delivered today but didn't intend to have any workers on site today but lo and behold this....
They are putting on the shingles!!! Our PM is the greatest! These pics were taken by my hubby's cellphone. He was charging the camera battery and forgot it at the house LOL! These still came out good! Of course you know we had to go back with the camera so here are the end results...
As you can see they worked and were able to put up some of the shingles! Yay!!! Good job guys! The only parts without the shingles were the garage, bay window and the morning room. Once again our PM is great making sure some of the work got done before the workers went on holiday for the New Year.
GRANITE TIME!!!
Ok, we told you all that we had to go see our granite today and here it is...
When we got there she recognized us and took us straight to our granite and it is beautiful! I think it is going to look great with our cabinets! So glad they had 2 extra slabs left at the distributor and we were able to get them ordered! Thanks to Lorrie at Granite Luxuries! She went the extra mile!
Got to see alot today, and even drove out to another Ryan community to see their layout. We drove to one particular development that my husband was interested in earlier and I must say that I love where we are! Same side of town we are from and comfortable with, not to far from where we are currently located (but not too close) and lots of things to do around town. Love it!
Well this ends my rant for today LOL! I hope all of you have a wonderful New Year! More pics after Wednesday LOL!

Today was the day of the LOCK!
We took a drive on this snowy day to see what was going on with the house and here are the pics!
As you can see they are putting our roof on yay!!! We still can not enter because our PM asked us not to go in. My husband is not too happy about it, he thinks one of the neighbors told that we went inside LOL! Our neighbors seem cool LOL! They already know who we are ( because we are out there practically EVERY day )!
While we were out, my mother called and ordered my husband to come shovel the apron of her driveway, because the snow plow went down her street and blocked her driveway. ( He made a face LOL )! While in route we got our daily mortgage interest rate from NVR, sooo we talked it out and decided today is the day. They've been offering us money off of our closing costs and today they offered us slightly more than yesterday. We also don't know what will be the outcome of this fiscal cliff fiasco and how it will affect interest rates after the New Year. Also, after Friday the loan office will be closed until after the New Year so if we were going to lock we had to do it now. We were waiting for rate lock to cover at least until Feb 25th because that is the latest date our PM said the house will be completed. We will keep our fingers crossed that he will beat this date and not go past it. It is 8 days past our original projected completion date. Pray for us that all will go well.
We also are going to go see our granite tomorrow. A couple weeks ago we went to pick out our granite but the selections they had for the Giallo Vicenza that were available were dull and milky looking. She showed us one that had more of a darker caramel undertone which we liked but it was already reserved by another customer. She told us she would call the supplier to see if they had any more of that particular lot number... come to find out they had two more slabs and we pounced on it! She put them on order and when it came in she marked them with our name, we will be going to see the slabs tomorrow. We will take pics to post for you all ( the camera is always at the ready LOL )!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE
The Holiday Season is upon us, time to eat drink and be Merry! BUT WHY IN THE HELL DID IT HAVE TO BE SMACK DAB IN THE MIDDLE OF MY BUILDING PROCESS??? LOL
They put in work on the house all the way up to the 21st. They're coming along nicely, our PM says they will be starting back up on the 26th. Hopefully they will be able to get the roof minus the shingles up before taking off for the New Year. I was able to get out and get a few pics so here they are.
For those of you who are paying close attention you may have noticed that our countdown widget has changed and along with it our closing date. Our PM did some calculations for me in response to an inquiry from me concerning locking in my rate. He determined that our closing date may move back a bit from the 17th of February to the 20th.... or at the latest the 25th. I sense that someone is giving themselves some fudge room, LOL. It's all good. So I decided to lock in as if the 25th is the date thus the change.
Christmas is here and New Years is right around the corner. We're all spending money, cooking and making New Years Resolutions. I hope you all have a great holiday season. Please be safe, see you all in the NEW YEAR!!!

Update
Our PM is the shit, he's on it! First thing this morning our PM took the time to call my home and speak with my wife as well as send me an email to sooth our worries about the cracked 2x4. Come to find out it is in an area where that section is to be removed so the base plate for the doorway can be installed. It is just there for the time being but when they get a little furthur along that section will be cut out as it is supposed to be and the doorway will be finished properly. Thanks for the prompt response PM and I will be cool, I'm seeing more and more everyday that you are handling business.
First Floor Beginnings!
Once again we went for our daily visit and voila the first floor is coming together yay!!!
When we first got to the site the carpenters were just finishing up so we decided to leave them alone and take pictures after they left. We just went down to the model home and talked with our SR Inna (love her!) She is the bestest LOL!
So these are our pics of the house coming together. We can finally say we have some walls! After walking around and looking my hubby saw this...
Uh oh...this is somewhat of an issue. This is located right in the bottom center of the entry door of the garage leading into the laundry room. This will probably be the most used entry door to the house and we have a crack at the bottom?... PM has been notified via email and will receive a phone call from hubby in the AM. We shall see what happens...

It's been a week.
Well it's been a week since I last posted, and a lot has happened. The foundation is complete the water stop and drain tile are installed. The gas line has been tied into the main which had not been installed at the proper depth which caused it to be damaged by the heavy traffic coming on and off of the construction sit. So they had to call out the gas company to excavate, repair and reinstall the main at the proper depth. My wife went out to the site on the tenth and she said that it was like a mad house out there, they have four houses coming up at the same time there were dump trucks, bull dozers, excavators, work trucks and trades men all over the place she says. On our site they were busy wrapping up the foundation work getting ready for the lumber delivery on the eleventh or the twelfth. The lumber was delivered on the eleventh and I couldn't help myself I had to see it! I got off work and made a B line for the job site. I couldn't beat the sun going down so there I was again on the job site after dark looking like a crazy man, and this time I drug the whole family along because I had the misses and the kids come out as well. The house was laid out in two large well put together bunks with some miscellaneous things like the shower enclosure laid out separately. While out there I took a stroll around the entire job site and took a boat load of pictures. Our PM told us that he hasn't gotten as far along on our house as he thought that he would but he intends to catch up this week. On the fourteenth he was able to get the carpenters over onto our site too get started on the lumber work. They got the basement windows installed and got the framing for the first floor started. The PM stated that he intends to get the the framing work done this week and if not completed this week it will be completed in the last three days of Christmas week, prior to the crew taking off for New Years. Well here are the latest pics I'll try to put them in proper order.
